Last night I had some Mountain Dew and a Red Bull, and by the time it was 1 am I wasn't ready for bed and not sure what to do.

I've been wanting to get OpenArt the fuck outta the internet for a while, so I decided to do the remaining styling and backend models (No database hookup yet, I'm doing the same dirty trick as on Moosader where I've written the in-between classes to hold Models, but then just hard-coded the items in initialization :P)

The art on the website is also rough, some features are missing (Rating artwork, asset descriptions and some other data), but I'm more happy with it overall.

The next immediate task on ArtSader is to set up the Specific Asset page, so you can link to a specific asset, as well as view description / upload date / etc.
I also want to get an Artist Profile page up, that has a nice display of all of their contributions. Also, social icons.

Eventually, when I feel arsed to get a MS SQL database up and running, I will hopefully also allow dynamic contribution to a "pending table" through that, too. I'll probably require contributors to register an OpenID in order to log in.

Anyway, here it is: The new ArtSader!

Awesomesauce! Congratulations on getting it live.
I'm sorta motivated by that, remembering you had a commission call not too long ago. People really need to contrib some art for the site now that it's live.

Yes. I'd like to redo my own art, but I'd really love to get lots of similar art onto the page- stuff that goes together.

The whole theme of the new page is to be- find similar assets for your game quickly and easily.
This will be achieved mainly by searching by-series or by-author, but also by-tag.

Well After the compo I have a new code project that doesn't require art. So if I have time before school starts I may devote some time to doing some decent art for the site.

Now, I realize that it's not letting anyone download .xm and .ogg files on ArtSader. [Redacted] I've sent support an email to see if we can get this resolved.
I like my inertia, I don't want to change hosts, but goddamn this is infuriating. I didn't ever have these problems with the Linux hosting, except that to use PHP5 files I'd have to suffix the pages with ".php5" >_>

Sorry to hear that. I left 1&1 over the locked in payment plan they had. I needed cheap monthly payments and when they told me their payment system wouldn't let you do monthly and were forced to pay 6 month intervals I just couldn't do it. Though it does seem odd that XML files would be a security risk, but I've only just started messing with XML. The xm ogg files is another odd issue. Though the php5 isn't that bad because they may have their server set up to support the different versions of php (didn't previous PHP version require php, php2, php3, php4, php5 per version?) or is it even possible to do that? I've not messed with tweaking servers too much just install Apache, PHP, mysql, and start playing with web dev off and on. Sorry the php rambling shows how ignorant I am in web dev :(.
