If anyone has any ideas for forum categories, let me know! I just added the "Entertainment discussion" board, so we can talk about video games, movies, music, etc. there.

Updates of Doom
I've been really bogged down with school -- lots of homework, lots of tests. I haven't really worked on much...

Shattered Wrath Recode
-- Tile engine is working, still lots to do. Currently I'm redrawing tiles so we can fix up the maps and save them in a new format, need to redraw characters, implement menu system, battle system, inventory system, dialog/cutscene system.
-- Some new tiles, still need to redraw characters.
-- SW v2 will feature cleaner code, higher resolution, better scripting

"Where to Begin" tutorial
-- Haven't done anything since I uploaded the rough draft, besides adding the threads in the forum to have the tut redirect to, so it can stay more current easier.

"Beginner's Guide to Game Programming: Episode 2: Making a Shmup"
-- Haven't done much; need to write a shmup to go along with first, haven't had time.

Java Moose Tiles
-- Just played with GUI elements, haven't had time to learn to code everything proppa

Random rewrites - Lenxion, Bootleg Bash, Rawr Rinth, Quix Attax
-- Trying to clean up code since I know more now. Haven't had time (redone some of Bootleg Bash though)

Latest Uploads

Uploaded a couple of my old animations to YouTube

-- I've made my really old Allegro tutorial public again due to people requesting it and YouTube being too difficult to set it up for certain people to be able to view it. :P

Message Board
I have added two new boards- "Competitions", and "Questions & Getting Help". I've also moved the questiony threads into the Question board, so hopefully it'll make everything easier to see. ^^

Added a "Code Dump" section. Basically it has loose Assembly and MatLab code right now. Kind of just where old school assignments will be thrown. A couple new public domain songs were added.

Post subject:  Site update

Had some free time last night, so I went ahead and updated my website.
Changes include a more simple (and hopefully more intuitive) navigation bar, additional code in the Code Dump, a link to my school notes page (not really interesting to anyone unless they need some Numerical Analysis notes), and I've updated the Pickin' Sticks directory ( to be cleaner and more accessible.

I really oughta learn some PHP sometime. Right now my site is HTML, CSS, and the Pickin' Sticks page has some JavaScript. :x

Nothing's really been updated lately, aside from some site design stuff, butttttt I have been working on things.
Namely, a couple tutorials, as well as the SHMUP game to be the basis for one of the tutorials.

Haven't drawn the shooting graphic for her yet.

The first iteration of the SHMUP will just be the very bare basics, as an example for the tutorial, and then I'll build on it more laters.
Trying to make the graphics look really good, really polished.

Been working slowly on updating the site layout to suck less.

Before getting my new job as a web developer, I was too lazy to properly learn CSS and the latest webpage standards, so I was using tables for layout.
After using HTML, CSS, JS, and PHP for three weeks (roughly 120 hours) I understand it a lot better. >_>

Nothing much is going to change on the site, it will just have better code, and the JS nav bar that expands/collapses.
