Moosader forum and IRC Rules

EtiquetteEverywhere: Treat others with respectTreat others with respect-
Do not insult another member, and do not use slurs. Try to debate in a constructive manner.
Don't put down somebody for asking a question, but at the same time, if someone is asking for a spoon-feeding, you're not required to answer them, either.
Be respectful of everybody. This includes our female members. Not asking for special treatment, just treat everybody with respect.
I'm OK with swearing. Fuck shit crap hell ass. Just don't use slurs, and don't insult others.
Everywhere: Debate and Critique; don't fightDebating is great, discussing different points of view on things. Especially if it's programming or game-development-related!
But, just because somebody has an opinion different from yours, you don't have to react like they've personally insulted you.
Try to be open-minded, and at least respect other peoples' points of view, even if you cannot agree.
Being HeardEverywhere: Feel free to voice your concernsIf you have any issues or concerns about another member of the community- if they make you feel uncomfortable, if they seem to detract from the community environment, if they've said something offensive- please don't hesitate to contact a moderator.
I'd like to emphasize that, even if you have an issue with a moderator or Moosader, please let us know. We will try to help make the community a better place for you and others to thrive in.
Who can you contact?
Ninjaboi is also a mod that is currently active on the board.
IRC: Being heard too muchIf you're in the IRC talking constantly (with nobody else posting in-between your posts), take a moment and give it a break. If you have a half-hour-long conversation with
yourself, you might be blocking other people from participating in a conversation.
Your blog is for soapboxing. IRC is social and for communication, debate, and other discussion.
AestheticsForum: Signature sizePlease restrict signature images to under 200px in height.
Forum: Try to post in the correct forumIt's OK to misunderstand and post in the wrong area, we'll help fix that.
Forum: Please post descriptive titlesPlease use descriptive thread titles; you're more likely to get help if you describe your problem in the title than just posting "help me!!!"
Forum: If your problem has been solved, please indicate in the thread titleIf your problem has been solved, please edit the first post in your thread and update the title and put "*SOLVED*" at the beginning.
Everywhere: Use Pastebin for codePlease post your code in Pastebin.
If it's a short enough snippet, you can use the code tag (in the forum).
In the IRC, anything more than 1 line of code should be put in pastebin.
